Iloenyosi Extends Eid Greetings, Praises NFF's Leadership
As Nigerians joined the global Muslim community in marking Eid-el-Kabir, Anambra State Football Association Chairman, Gen. Chikelue Iloenyosi, delivered heartfelt greetings and a strong call for unity and compassion. The former Super Eagles defender urged all citizens to embrace the values of sacrifice, peace, and brotherhood that define the festival.
In his message, Iloenyosi emphasised the unifying power of faith and national identity "I extend my sincerest felicitations to all our Muslim brothers and sisters on this spiritually uplifting occasion of Eid-el-Kabir. It is a moment to reflect on the power of faith, unity, and selflessness. As a nation, we must stand together, regardless of religion or background, to build a stronger and more inclusive Nigeria."
The football administrator also used the occasion to commend the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), led by President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau. He praised the current administration for its renewed focus on youth development, player welfare, and grassroots football.
"I must commend the leadership of the NFF for the tremendous work being done to reposition Nigerian football," Iloenyosi stated. "This is the kind of leadership the game needs at this crucial time."
A passionate advocate for footballers' welfare and national progress through sport, Iloenyosi reaffirmed his commitment to advancing unity and excellence across all levels of the game.

We believe General Iloenyosi’s message goes beyond ceremonial well-wishing—it reflects a statesman’s perspective on how sport, faith, and leadership can intertwine to foster national cohesion. In a country as diverse as Nigeria, such gestures carry significant weight.
His call for unity and reflection during Eid is timely.
